I am pretty sure it's not Sherlock at the door. Or if it is, that's not when Sherlock reveals to John that he's alive. I thought the video kept going because John came back and pushed play again. Not that it started playing again by itself. I think the video/real time interaction was just Moftiss trying to be clever.

But I'm fully prepared to be eating those words come January 1st!
