ouch! pretty much sums it up.
ok great, you could at least have given us a cheesy happy ending for all the pain in the first part...
but this ending probably was the more fitting.
what really broke my heart was john's guilt about not seeing that sherlock was suicidal (in john's mind) and sherlock's cryptic line if maybe suicide was still a solution for saving john...
