Well, John did lose it a bit. Sherlock was really pushing it. But this is the danger for John: even though he knows it's a bad idea and he already sees that being with Sherlock is going to keep getting him in trouble, he keeps coming back and craves these situations. As for the visit to Mummy's, I think that John in particular will learn some very relevant things. :)
