Yes, that's how I see it too: Tristram was perfectly happy with his life before. It's the introduction of all these new experiences and people that throws a wrench in the works. But hopefully it will be a beneficial process in the end that will enrich both his and Sherlock's lives. Thanks for your thoughts.
