”They seem crunchy at first, but they turn gummy as he chews and stick all over his teeth. He wraps the rest of the chocolate bar up and puts it back in his pocket.”

That’s a perfect description! (And do you listen to “Cabin Pressure”? Arthur and his Toblerones?)

”They look out at the mountains again, and Tristram feels as if a great weight has been lifted from his heart. Father is happy, he's happy, they both have a special friend, and there's nothing here to spoil their holiday. Absolutely everything is right in the world.”

I’m so glad Tristram understood about his mother and was game to meet her. It’s wonderful that he and Sherlock can spend some time together, with no danger and no misunderstandings. After all that Tristram’s been through that was probably the nicest thing that could have happened.

”Tristram's not sure if there's a special divorce ceremony that both people have to attend, like a wedding in reverse. He imagines Irene walking backwards up a church aisle…”

You always make me smile when you get these wonderfully child-like interpretations of the world so right!

And thanks for the pictures - it looks a fascinating place.
