Quick thoughts: There was no word or rating limit, so I was surprised that there were no fanworks over a PG-13 rating. Where is the R/T pr0n, people?

It is more understandable that there were no very long fics, given that the creation period was only a month long.

There was quite a lot of focus on Tonks’ pregnancy, and on the Lupin-Tonkses as a family unit. I suppose this comes from a desire to see a happy ending for them.

Personally, I know what limited my fic were the prompts I was given. Don't get me wrong, they were fun to play with, but they didn't really lend themselves to too much angst or porn. (For that, see my submission for hp_canon_fest!)

That's certainly true, if no one asked for porn, it's clear why no one got porn. ;) Still, the fact that no one asked for it also seems to say something about the current fan base for this pairing.

Interesting stats!

FWIW, no one asks for anything at metamorfic_moon. We try to encourage creative, original fics that feel like the Wizarding world by assigning primarily magical or book-based prompts. It's all compiled and randomly assigned by the mods, and our Jumble format has produced a lot of creative results!

R/T has never been a pairing with a lot of porn fic. Personally I think this reflects that there's so much going on between the pages of the books that the fanbase's imaginations are running rampant trying to fill in the blanks JKR left in the R/T storyline. The pairing is rich with drama. And let's not forget Remus and Tonks spend a lot of time apart in the books--they're busy people!

That said, the romance of R/T has not exactly been ignored. There's lots of sexy stuff in the fandom--but I do think the R/T shippers favor romance within a story rather than PWP.
