Some thoughts: There was a nice range of ratings. Although 63% of the gifts were rated R or above, not all of the high ratings were for smut. There was also quite a bit of blood and gore.

This ended up being a slash-heavy fest, with 21 out of 30 gifts featuring at least one slash or femslash pairing. This was due in part to the large number of Harry/Draco gifts. I don't necessarily find Harry/Draco more 'emo' than any other pairing, so I'm just guessing, as these things go, that there were simply more H/D fans posting prompts than other shippers.

Fully half of the gifts ended up featuring Draco as a main character. This can't be ascribed only to the H/D love, as Draco was also paired with many other characters, both het and slash. I suppose many people just see him as a moody character who has lots of reason to go emo.

I was pleased to see there was a lot of use of Next Gen characters in this fest, after having pretty much been neglected in the last few fests I've looked at. On the other hand, the older generation was nearly completely shut out, with only Minerva getting one feature. I suppose this is because it's usually younger people who give in to emo-ness.

The word count distribution was overall typical, with most fics under 10,000 words and the largest bunch in the lowest length category. There was no super-long fic that was much longer than the others, though.
