Some thoughts: Who would have thought Ron and Hermione were so sexy? Over half of the submissions for this challenge were rated NC-17, and none were rated below PG-13.
The word count distribution is lovely: 4 fics obviously just making the minimum mark of 15,000. Then a beautiful, even procession up one step at a time to 22K, just as if it had been planned that way. And the one super-long entry at twice the length of the second longest one. Nice.
There were only two Hogwarts era fics, the rest being post-DH. I think this mainly shows that the writers stuck to canon, and Ron and Hermione didn't have much romantic interaction within the scope of the books. I think they also wanted to write them as adults, free of the pressure of Voldemort and their primary need to support Harry.
