Some thoughts: Short butsweet snarky. The turnout was not super high, but there was a nice representation anyway, and some very funny fics.
The ratings surprised me, in that this fest didn't set out to be smutty or pairing-centric by any means. Yet 60% of the submissions were rated R or higher. I guess sex is funny?
The word counts make it clear that one-shots were the favored means of conveying humour. Although the long creation period would have allowed for writing very long fics, only one person went over 5,000 words, and even that fic, at nearly 7,500 words, was no Big Banger. It's true that it takes a special kind of writer to keep up the yuks over several chapters, so it's not that I think there should have been any longer fics.
Also worth noting is that the word count statistics for this fest were just about 'perfect', with the mean, median, and mode all just about exactly the same. *little sigh of delight" :)
It was a bit difficult deciding what to do about the most popular characters, since not all of the characters mentioned in a header were actually the lead, but I didn't want to have to make a decision about which ones were lead-worthy and which not, so I just went ahead and used all of the header mentions. This may mean that the results are not exactly accurate as far as who the fics and art were really about, but it's the best I could do.
Given all that, I still think it's pretty fair to say that the Trio were the most popular, along with Severus and Draco.
The reason I didn't do any pairing statistics is, although there were many pairings mentioned, and quite a few mentions of sex and romance, this just wasn't a pairing-based fest. There were several submissions in which pairings were mentioned, but were not the main point of the fic. Or in which there were so many pairings mentioned, and so briefly, that it seemed trivial to even count them.
Still, it's fair to say that het, slash, and gen were all well represented, to my eye in about equal degree. There wasn't any femmeslash (that I noticed).
