Some thoughts: I wonder a bit why this fest did not get more interest. Luna is one of the core secondary characters in canon, and generally fairly popular in fests: she was the most popular character in the recent
rarepair_shorts Summer Wishlist Event (link to my statistics) and the second most popular in this year's (ditto)
springtime_gen, tying with Ginny.
The art ratio was quite high, although with such small numbers it may not be statistically significant. Still, it's interesting that the amount of art vs fic was pretty even on both the exchange and prompting sides of the fest. (This may be due to the fact that of three artists, two entered submissions for both exchange and prompting versions).
Also of note are the low ratings. Although R- and NC-17 would have been allowed, no one went over PG-13, and all of the art was rated G. And again, the ratings distribution was the same for both exchange and prompting versions of the fest.
The word counts were quite low, given the long creation period. I find it funny that there were three fics with the same word count, pretty clearly made to just pass the minimum word count. Only one person was inspired to break out of the minimum range, coming up with over 1/3 of the total words written for both versions of the fest combined.
Going along with the relatively low ratings was the high percentage of gen fanworks, with 36% of the submissions. Het and femmeslash split the remainder right down the middle, with the odd fic out including both het and femmeslash as well as a threesome.
I was not surprised to see that Harry was the character paired with Luna the most often, but I was surprised to see two pieces with Luna and Teddy. Perhaps that is an extension of pairing Luna and Harry, assuming that Teddy spent a lot of time with his godfather (and thus with Luna, if Luna and Harry were either a couple or very close friends).
