As of yesterday, I now have 700 bookmarks on AO3, all but one, as far as I recall, for fan fiction based on various versions of Sherlock Holmes. I don't even want to guess how many millions of words they encompass, but that certainly represents a good chunk of my life over the past two years.

The 700th bookmark was for a great fic, too, so I'll link it here:

There, John finds himself and Sherlock suddenly under attack by a mysterious and malevolent power—and drawn into a mystery that may tear London apart. A fusion with the Matthew Swift series by Kate Griffin, but no prior knowledge is needed.

*This fic has been deleted, but you can still find it (at the moment) here: HTML / PDF

The bookmarks are all sorted into collections, which you can read more about here if you're interested.

Oh wow, that is a lot! I haven't started using the bookmark system on AO3 but think I might do so soon, as my current system of keeping track of fics is opening a tab in Firefox. I currently have over 500 open tabs... :S

Thank you for your recs! I found quite a few excellent fics thanks to you!

Haven't had time to leave fb for the latest chapters of The Baker Street Nativity but will do so soon! Greatly enjoyed them. :DDD

I never thought you could have that many tabs but they slowly multiplied and when I last saved them it said 523 tabs. *blushes* I have managed to close around 10 yesterday...

Ooooh, I didn't know I could link to LJ, too! I really must look into this - very neat!

Sadly, Ayalesca left AO3 last month and deleted all their fics in all fandoms. I'm not sure why. I do have a copy of the epub, courtesy of another fan. If anyone wants it, they can message me.

Would you mind sharing the .mobi with me? I keep forgetting that .mobi is what I need for the Kindle. *blush*

One thing's this has taught me is that if I adore a fic I need to download it in case this happens. So many things can happen to make fics disappear, even accidents unintended by the author.
