I've put together transcripts from the series 3 interactive trailer, including both the main trailer and the interactive content. I hope this is helpful to non-native English speakers, or just as a reference for anyone.

Edit: I missed three of the interviews when I first posted this. I have added them in at the end now.

And since I couldn't find the interviews uploaded anywhere else, I went ahead and captured and uploaded them:

Interactive trailer main video

John: Sherlock!
(I think this is a playback of John shouting when Sherlock jumped off the roof of Bart's.)

John: I don't care how you faked it. I want to know why.
(Voiceover to the image of John lying in bed with Mary, staring up despondently at the ceiling. He sounds very angry.)

Sherlock: The one person he thought didn't matter at all to me was the one person that mattered the most.
(Voiceover to a series of images showing Molly, Mrs Hudson, Anderson, Lestrade, and John.)

Scene with Sherlock and Mycroft in what looks like a plush meeting room:

Sherlock: I think I'll surprise John.

Mycroft: Hm.

Sherlock: Pop into Baker Street, who knows, jump out of a cake.

Mycroft: Baker Street? He isn't there any more. It's been two years. He's got on with his life.

Sherlock: What life? I've been away.

Mycroft: An attack is coming.
(Mycroft speaking while sitting at his desk, not shown who he is speaking to.)

Sherlock: I need to get to know London again. Breathe it in. Every quiver of its beating heart.
(Voiceover to Sherlock walking down a corridor and looking behind him.)

Interactive trailer exclusive content

I want to know why:

No words. Shows a series of images of the roof area around Bart's, with arrows and graphics drawn in, presumably showing part of the solution to how Sherlock staged his death.

Person that mattered most:

Scene of Mycroft and Sherlock in what looks like might be a meeting room of some kind:

Mycroft: You haven't been in touch at all? To prepare him?

Sherlock: No. (Looks at picture of John with mustache in a file folder.) Well, we'll have to get rid of that.

Mycroft: We?

Sherlock: He looks ancient. I can't be seen to be wandering around with an old man.

He's got on with his life:

Scene of Sherlock entering a restaurant:

Maitre d': Sir, can I help you?

Sherlock: (Deduces 'expectant father' from the man's shoulders) Your wife just texted you, possibly her contractions have started. (Looks smug as the maitre d' leaves.)

No words, shows someone entering a code on a key pad of some device in a suitcase, turning a key, and pushing a button.

Get to know London again:

Scene of Sherlock in the Baker Street flat, wearing his dressing gown and pinning up printouts and pictures to the wall:

Sherlock: London. It's like a great cesspool into which all kinds of criminals, agents, and drifters are irresistibly drained. Sometimes it's not a question of who; it's a question of who knows.

Locked material (cemetery):

No words. John stands alone, staring at Sherlock's grave. Mary joins him and takes his hand. They stand there looking at the grave together.

Exclusive content 1 (overlooking London):

No words. Sherlock standing somewhere elevated (possibly the roof of Bart's), looking over a panorama view of London.

Exclusive content 2 (office):

Scene in what might be John's office. He is sitting at a desk with a computer. Mary enters.

Mary: Hello.

John: Hm.

Mary: You sure?

John: I'm sure.

Mary: Okay. I'm late for ?? (sorry, I can't figure out this word, sounds like 'caff'... maybe class?), I'll see you later.

(brief kiss)

John: Bye.

Mary: Bye.

John watches her leave, pleased at first, then his expression turns sad.

Exclusive content 3 (motorcycle ride):

No words. Mary is sitting behind Sherlock on a motorcycle, racing through the streets of London. She holds up a mobile phone so he can see it. It says '8 minutes and counting'.

Favourite survival theory 1:

(interview with Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss)

SM: The inexplicable survival of Sherlock, having after his definite death, kickstarted the entire nation, it seemed, into trying to work out how that was done, to a far greater extent than we ever thought it would.

MG: I mean yeah, obviously, yes, we were hoping it might – people might be interested, but the levels of ingenuity-

SM: Yeah.

MG: -was astonishing, and it was all, I mean it became a national talking point for months, really.

SM: There's two kinds of theories that you love. There's the incredibly detailed one.

MG: There's a- yeah, there's an Open University style one which I love, with little models and stuff like that-

SM: Yeah, yeah.

MG: That's good. And I've seen one, which... I mean, it's literally reams and reams, all to do with the Grimm's fairy tales which Moriarty's clues in the Reichenbach Fall-

SM: Yeah.

MG: I was slightly dazzled by the ingenuity that's gone into the working out, but then you think, if it was this, and it was for a ninety-minute programme that required essentially a book this thick (points) to understand it, then it would probably - wouldn't be very popular. (laughs)

SM: No. The other ones that- They're sort of gags, there's funny ones, where Sherlock flings himself off and then a second later he swoops up and flies-

MG: Yeah.

SM: -away, I don't know, it's funny.

MG: Sort of a Mary- It was a Mary Poppins option, isn't it-

SM: Yeah.

MG: -and there's a Tardis one which was very nicely done, I've seen an animated gif of that which is uh... he falls into the Tardis swimming pool I think-

SM: Oh like, like River Song did.

MG: Yes. Yes. Yeah, that's how they've done it.

Favourite moment of series 3:

(interview with Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss)

SM: I want to sit in the audience at the BFI or somewhere and watch the sequence when John and Sherlock meet again. It goes on for a long time, and I've watched it many many times-

MG: Mm-hm.

SM: - and I absolutely love it.

MG: It makes my hair stand on end, it's just a – It's so beautifully played. Martin- The complex emotions you see of astonishment and grief and rage, all flickering through his eyes.

Favourite survival theory 2:

(interview with Benedict Cumberbatch)

BC: The theories were – the ones I sort was aware of - were fun, but I was out of the country at the time, so I kind of missed the maelstrom of it, which I was sort of gutted about, because what we do is, we do three episodes every year and a half, and they're three one-and-a-half-hour films, and they become events. And this year, it was extraordinary, after the success of the first series I think there was a lot of expectation, but I don't think they disappointed, these three, and I- Yeah, I missed out on a lot of the reaction that- I mean obviously, the afterglow that yeah, absolutely, and it came over to the States, where I was filming at the time, you know, I was doing Khan and stuff, and... I would have liked to have been here. I would have liked to have seen the nation sort of obsessing over it and the nature of some of the theories to it.

Being Sherlock:

(interview with Benedict Cumberbatch)

BC: When I'm playing Sherlock, I try to get myself both in a sort of physical sense, as in with diet and physical activity and being healthy, and in a mental sense, into his kind of world. Sherlock's speed of thought is very difficult. He has an ability to completely cut off – blinker – mute the traffic of mediocrity, of platitude, of everyday social interaction so that he can run like a hot knife through butter to the point of what he has to do, to be able to exercise a skill that requires a level of concentration and ability which denies other, normal enterprises in life, which results in comedy, but it also results in his brilliance.

John in series 3:

(interview with Martin Freeman)

MF: It's two years since Sherlock's death, in John's mind. I think he's kind of got over the initial grief of his friend dying, um his life has moved on, he's fallen in love, he has a partner now, so we kind of join him at a point in his life where he's kind of content. So he kind of thinks he's on a certain path now, you know, he just thinks he's going to live a relatively... I suppose a sort of normal life, whatever that means, of being with a lovely woman, in a little house, um... and that part of his life that was those few years with this mad bloke, um, have gone now.

Staging the Reichenbach Fall:

(interview with Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss)

SM: We started work on series 2, we thought we knew how we were going to end it, and we knew that everything in series 2 was building towards that, we knew that we'd throw Sherlock Holmes off a building, in effect he'd plunge to his death, that he- that we wouldn't cheat like Doyle did, that we would see him die and that he would die as he should, he must, in Watson's arms, he would definitely be dead, and that the very last shot-

MG: He isn't! (laughs)

SM: - Sherlock Holmes'd just be standing there. And we wouldn't tell people how.

The Empty Hearse:

(interview with Martin Freeman)

MF: Well the main thing I guess that we can expect from episode one is how we deal with Sherlock and John being reunited. It's no surprise to anyone who follows the show, Sherlock isn't dead, he's – you know, he hasn't- I mean, for a start, we've seen him at the very end of the Reichenbach Fall watching John walk away from his grave. So we know that Sherlock is alive. We know that there's got to be a reckoning of how he did it, how he survived that fall, because we've all seen it, John's seen it, he's jumped off the roof of Bart's, and yet he's alive. There's the technicality of how he did it, but also um... more interestingly that the how, I guess, is the- the why, and the meat on those bones of Sherlock having been away and how he comes back and tells John that he is still alive, which is a very dangerous thing to do on many levels. It's dangerous emotionally, but it's dangerous (chuckles) physic- cause he knows John will be immensely upset.

Surviving the Fall:

(interview with Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss)

SM: Sherlock survived the fall very, very cleverly. His uh... His main aim was to not die, which he accomplished by not dying. Which is- was uh, I think was pretty damned clever.

MG: But in a pithy way, it was the- the old- the old way of doing it: gravity boots...

SM: Yes.

MG: ...an enormous inflatable ass...

SM: (laughs)

MG: But we knew obviously, it had to be- it had to be possible.

I do sort of agree with Sherlock that John's new moustache does him no favors, but his overall cavalier attitude is kind of grating. Sherlock can't believe that John has a life without him? Seriously?

Ooooh, thanks very much for this. I’m particularly intrigued by all the scenes with Mycroft and Sherlock together and especially Mycroft’s “We?”, like “Oh, so you and I are working together now?” He sounds skeptical but perhaps pleasantly surprised?

I have a question about the interactive trailer--when I look at it, there are still things that are locked. Is that how you got the cool interviews with Benedict, Martin, Steven, and Mark? And if so, how did you get them to unlock? Thanks! :)
